Končistá (2537m) and Tupá (2284m) loop
High Tatras · Sliezsky dom · Velická valley
Wild alpine terrain, rocky ridges and panoramic views deep into the High Tatras.
Končistá is a journey into a wild alpine landscape, where rocky slopes, steep ridges and sweeping panoramas come together in an intense day in the mountains.
As we gain height, the forest gives way to dwarf pine and rocky terrain. The landscape gradually opens, revealing distinctive peaks, deep valleys and far-reaching views across the surrounding ranges.
The character of this journey lies in moving through high-alpine terrain itself. Rocky sections, ridge passages and changing ground require sure footing, concentration and experience in more demanding mountain environments.
The summit offers sweeping views across the dramatic landscape of the High Tatras. It is a place to pause, take in the surroundings and fully appreciate the vastness of the mountains.
A journey for experienced mountain hikers who want to explore less accessible Tatra summits and experience the true character of the high mountains.
Variant 2 - Hiking loop from Vyšné Hágy
For those who want to complete the entire journey on foot, a longer and more physically demanding option starts and ends in Vyšné Hágy. This loop offers more time in the mountains and a more immersive experience of the high-alpine landscape.
